Experience of a lifetime

A selection of Nettex Premier stockists were treated to an inspirational experience with Nettex and their most renowned brand ambassador and dressage Team GB member, Carl Hester.

The event was held at Carl’s yard in Newent and was gifted to the retailers in appreciation of their continued support.

Carl Hester gave the fifty mesmerised visitors an informative demonstration on the work that his dressage horses carry out, from novice 4year old Imhotep through to Grand Prix horse Barolo who had also qualified for Rio as Charlotte Dujardin’s reserve ride.

Watching Carl’s working pupils Rob Barker and Sadie Smith ride these horses under his watchful eye, everyone was given a unique experience, listening to Carl describe what he looks for in a youngster and his reluctance to pay huge sums of money for horses.

Much to everyone’s delight, Alan Davies – Carl’s Travelling Groom then brought out the fabulous Valegro who has gone into retirement. The assembled crowd were surprised at the power and size of the horse, who Carl good humouredly called “the cob”.

After the demo, the guests were treated to a yard tour where they met a fabulous line up of celebrity horses – Uthopia and Wanadoo included, and also enjoyed having their picture taken with Carl.
