Lynn Russell's September Show Update

2015 Season

The team will be represented by Volantis in the LW Cobs, Wolf in the HW Cobs and Cappa Sham in the Coloureds.

This season the team has been placed 1st or 2nd on 59 occasions and Champion or Reserve on 15 occasions.

  • Some highlights to note are:
    Cappa Sham, a 5 year old Novice Maxi, numerous coloured and cob wins this season. These include both the Novice and Maxi Cobs at P (UK) Winter Classic and the Novices at NPS Area 14 and Royal Bath & West. His Coloured class tally includes the prestigious New Forest and BSPA South East where he was also Coloured Champion. At Edenbridge he won both the Maxi Cobs and Coloureds and took the Coloured Championship. He qualified for HOYS winning the coloured qualifier at Mid Herts. At Royal Three Counties he qualified for the BSPA RIHS 2016.
  • Volantis, a 5 year old Novice LW, is proving himself extremely versatile, with a number of wins in the cobs, side saddle and coloured classes. His total includes wins in the cobs at South of England Spring, Heathfield and Thame, in the Ladies side saddle at BSHA Home Counties and in the coloureds at BSPA South East and Royal Berkshire where he was also Coloured Champion. He qualified for HOYS at Melplash and the BSPA RIHS 2016 at the South of England.
  • Wolf, a 7 year old HW, has continued to perform with wins which include South of England Spring, where he was Champion, Herts County, Thame and Royal Berkshire where at all three he took the Reserve Champion slot. He qualified for HOYS at Edenbridge.
  • Jovian, a 4 year old ID Novice Maxi, new to the team in 2015 and very lightly shown this year has won all four of his outings. At Horsham, his first outing, he was Champion Cob and Reserve Supreme of Show. At Thame his most recent outing he was Cob Champion.
  • Decimate, a 7 year old ex-racer, recorded RoR wins at Surrey County and Heathfield where he was also Champion. At the Festival of Hunting he qualified for The RoR Show Horse Final 2016.
  • Dorton, a 5 year old novice ex-racer, new to the team, has been shown very lightly in RoR Novice TB classes in his first season and shown great potential. He won at the P(UK) Winter Classic, the South of England Spring, Heathfield and Melplash where he was also Reserve Champion.
