Nettex vet warns to be vigilant for Autumn colic

The days are noticeably shorter and many of us are changing to winter management with our horses, Nettex Vet, Becky Lees, warns to be vigilant as Autumn is a high risk time for colics occurring.

Becky says, “This is largely due to feeding and management changes, as our horses spend more time in their stable and less time in the field.  However late spurts of grass growth during mild weather can also be responsible for unsettling horses’ tummies and causing colic.  Nettex Gut Balancer is the ideal supplement as it contains a unique blend of pre and probiotics plus other nutrients, helping horses adapt to changes in diet, which will help to prevent colic”.
